RV Trip to Kansas Cosmosphere:
In the grand scheme of NASA artifact centers, The Smithsonian rates near the top of the list, as does The Kenedy Space Center at the Cape, The Johnson Space Center in Houston, perhaps NASA-Huntsville, and right up there with them, seemingly out of the way is the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson Kansas. I first became aware of this unique museum a couple of years back when contacted by a volunteer at the Center. Just now I was searching my name on Google (to help direct relatives how to find my current email address) and I stumbled upon this page entitled "Astronauts and Wheat Fields" by Doug Reeves, who does a wonderful job describing a day trip to the KCSC complete with photos of the trip there and back as well as many of the exhibits (and even a link to my site). So follow the link and enjoy the page! -- Chuck |
